Culture
We believe
that diversity of culture, thought and
experience enriches our firm. We created a
company culture based on collaboration,
devotion to serving our clients and mutual
respect. We are committed to a fair
and equitable workplace where each person is
a valued member of the team. We
believe in two key factors: a strong
emphasis on community service that starts at
the top of the firm and permeates
throughout, and an extremely collegial
culture that emphasizes collaboration in
support of client needs. By focusing
on outstanding client service, superior
legal work and generous pro bono and
community involvement opportunities, we have
created an work environment that encourages
our members to pursue their personal
definition of success.

Work Environment
To advance
our company culture based on collaboration,
devotion to serving our clients and mutual
respect, we offer our members the
opportunity to participate in a "flex-time"
work environment. Our members are
given broad leeway in setting their own work
schedule. Post-normal business hours
and weekend office hours are encouraged to
better serve our clients. This
flex-time work environment helps members
with children to better schedule their day
to address their personal needs. It
also allows those members pursuing further
education the opportunity to attend classes
during normal business hours. Our main
concern is outstanding client service.
Members are often assigned to work in teams
on an individual client's case in order to
ensure full coverage. The team members
are allowed the ability to delegate
responsibilities and set engagement
schedules. This flexibility in
scheduling allows for maximum client and
member satisfaction. Our main
office is located within an office complex
featuring an independent, full-day,
Montessori daycare facility allowing our
members to bring their children to work and
check up on them throughout the day.
The main office complex also features an
independent
dentist and
pediatrician & sports medicine doctor
onsite. The main office also features
a full kitchen, dining area and weight room.
Management
As a
Professional Limited Liability Company, we
vote democratically on company issues based
upon our membership interests. We do
have a "managing member" who is
democratically elected and handles the
day-to-day operations of the company. We base
our membership interests on a formula that
accounts for aggregate capital
contributions, yearly capital contributions,
new clients brought into the company and
billable hours contributed. This
formula rewards hard work and dedication.
It also distributes membership interests
based upon individual capital contributions
and risk in the company. This formula
encourages responsible decision making by
members. There are no benefits for
merely showing up at the office day after
day or outlasting the other members,
however, the formula does acknowledge past
contributions and continuing client
relations. New members may quickly
gain interest in the company and long-term
members are encouraged to continue to
contribute.

Internships or Externships
We do accept
legal interns or externs. Whether it will
count as an internship or externship usually
depends upon the way the school sets up
their program. Our firm concentrates on tax
and business law. We do some nonprofit work,
estate planning work, healthcare law (for
healthcare providers) and a bunch of pro
bono work. Currently, our main client base
are tax law questions and our main pro bono
work is VRPP through the IRS. We have some
pro bono work helping clients clear their
record of one-time felony convictions as
well. If you are interested in this type of
work, please send along either an Adobe
Acrobat or Microsoft Word version of your
resume and at least two references (at least
one law academic and one personal).
Unique
Opportunity
If this
sounds like the kind of company with whom
you would like to work, contact us for an
interview. We are always looking for
new members who share our vision. A
book of business is always appreciated, but
not required. We are not as concerned
about law school rankings or class ranking
as we are about dedication, respect and
responsibility.
